Each Saturday morning from 10:15am to 11:15am we run our 2D Game Making sessions. Each week we work on a little project that is designed to inspire and teach students a little bit more about making games. We normally work on one of the game levels that help demonstrate a concept, students are then encouraged to expand the game at home.
In term one we ran an intro to electronics workshop. We looked at basic components like resistors and capacitors first up. We learnt how to read the colour codes on resistors and built some simple circuits to show how they work. Then we put together a really cool project: an FM spy bug.
On March 25-26 (Saturday and Sunday) we will be running a code a robot event on level 4 of the Brisbane Museum with our EV3 robots and past robotic competition mats. We will have a computer setup for each robot with some code blocks ready for you to come along and code up a robot to complete a mission.
